Now that your dream home has funded with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, you need to know the next steps to take! Here is a quick checklist that may help you complete a few to-do items while moving into your new home.

Store housing documents in a safe and secure location
Make sure you are aware of when your first home loan payment is due
Watch for a transfer of servicing notice from Fairway, which will be delivered in a green envelope
Look into potential tax benefits that may be available to homebuyers in your area
Schedule a home cleaning, if necessary
Make a list of any necessary home repairs or updates
Check and adjust the water heater
Change your locks and any keypad passwords
Transfer all applicable warranties to your name
Inform your bank, employer, creditors, & the United States Post Office of your move & change of address
Update your drivers license, car registration, auto policy and voters registration
Register your children at their new school or update their address at their current school
